My Story

Ranch Raised. Western Made. A Little Wild by Nature.

I’m a rancher’s daughter.

I grew up on a large ranch and feedlot, surrounded by horses, cattle, hard work, wide-open spaces, and the kind of life that teaches you early on that if you want something, you work for it.

And I never really left that life behind.

Today, I still live that Western lifestyle. I have good horses, a few head of cattle, and a home and life that are deeply rooted in the country I grew up in. I’m also a wife, a mom, and a high school social studies teacher.

For most of my adult life, I’ve been a hustler.

As a teacher—and for many years as a single mom raising my kids—I’ve always looked for ways to supplement my income and build something of my own. I’ve tried different things along the way, but nothing ever really felt like me. Nothing sparked that feeling of, I could do this forever.

Until I discovered that I am not just capable of soapmaking, I am talented at it!

What started as curiosity quickly turned into something I didn't expect: I fell in love with making beautiful beauty products.

I’ve always had a passion for beautiful home and beauty products. I love the little details—the way something smells, the colors, the textures, the packaging, and the feeling you get when you use something that was made with care.

But I always wanted those things to have a little more me in them.

A little Western.

A little boho.

A little rustic.

A little feminine.

And maybe just a little wild.

So I started creating my own.

Soap became more than something I was making in my kitchen. It became a creative outlet, a new passion, and eventually the beginning of Wild Like the West by Rockin K.

I love experimenting with colors, fragrances, molds, textures, and designs. Some ideas turn out exactly the way I imagined them. Others become happy accidents—or lessons for the next batch. 😂

That's part of what makes handmade special.

Every piece is made by hand, in small batches, with a whole lot of heart.

Wild Like the West is a reflection of the life I've lived and the things I love: the ranch, horses, cattle, family, hard work, creativity, and the freedom to make something beautiful with my own two hands.

I’m still a teacher.

I’m still a mom.

I’m still a wife.

I’m still a rancher's daughter.

And I'm still hustling.

But for the first time, I've found something that doesn't just help me make a little extra income.

I've found something I'm genuinely passionate about.

Thank you for supporting my little Kansas business and for coming along as I see where this crazy, creative adventure takes me.

Made by hand. Inspired by the West. A little wild by nature.
